We love a productivity hack here at Women's Health. Anything that can help us hit our step goal without taking up any more time in our busy schedules in is a winner in our book.

The under-desk treadmill trend, whereby work-from-homers utilise a walking pad to get their steps in while they're working, kicked off on social media a couple of years ago and isn't showing any signs of slowing down any time soon.

If you've been eyeing up a walking pad for a while now but are yet to take the plunge, there's a nice little pre-Prime Day deal running on Amazon you might want to take a look at.

While this isn't an official Prime Day deal as the sale doesn't kick off until the 16th of July (that's next Tuesday, so make sure to mark your calendar) Amazon is getting us excited by launching a slew of deals in the lead up.

The Superun Walking Pad usually goes for £299.99, but is currently on sale for £189.99 - a 37% discount that saves shoppers £110. Not bad!

One Amazon review of the treadmill says 'I was looking for a way to integrate more movement into my daily work routine, and this treadmill has exceeded my expectations. It fits perfectly under my standing desk, allowing me to stay active even while tackling my work tasks'.

What is a walking pad?

Also known as an under-desk treadmill, a walking pad is a small treadmill that is designed to help you get your steps in at home. The Superun Walking Pad is small and light enough to move around the house and stow away, so you don't have a big bulky treadmill taking up loads of space.

Due to their smaller size, most of them aren't really designed for running. This model from Superun only goes up to 6 kmph, which for most people would be a moderately paced walk.

Benefits of using a walking pad

Anyone who works a busy desk-bound job knows how easy it can be to go a whole day accruing an abysmal amount of steps. The best thing about utilising a walking pad is you can tick of tasks while getting your steps in. You don't have to find the time to go on a walk, you can habit stack and do a brisk walk while still meeting your deadline.
