What is the blue slip? ›

An Authorised Unregistered Vehicle Inspection Scheme (AUVIS) report (known as a blue slip) verifies that an unregistered vehicle is safe, and meets design and identity standards. All unregistered light vehicles need an AUVIS inspection report before they can be registered in NSW.
